Negotiating for Success

Too many people think there are winners and losers in a negotiation… a successful negotiation creates winners from all sides! Today, whether it be a negotiation for a selling your products or services or negotiating with a supplier or with our spouse on a holiday destination, a new house purchase or with the kids, we all can do a better job with negotiation… no matter which side of the table we are on.

We need to understand the other party. We need to know where our Best Alternative to a Negotiated Agreement (BATNA) is. We need to know how to read the other side, what visual messages are they giving; are they telling the truth, are they saying what they really mean? If you know these answers you can have truly successful negotiations with donors, sponsors and in your personal life.

At the end of this workshop you will:

  • Discover your BATNA
  • Identify how to read the “other side”
  • Uncover the visual messages they are giving

The session will provide not only answers to all these questions but provide all attendees with the tools to put into practice their learning right at SOHO Nanaimo throughout the day as you visit trade show booths! Without successful negotiation skills into today’s changing world our efforts are limited.
